Brief:

Create a tone-setting film for Exxaro’s event showing two parallel worlds: a baobab tree expanding across continents and Exxaro growing into a global energy leader.
The story follows a young African boy whose journey mirrors Exxaro’s evolution. The film needed to integrate supplied footage of the Exxaro building, 40% stock footage and 60% AI-generated visuals that all match seamlessly.
With no time or budget for a shoot, AI was the only viable solution.

Solution:

We built a hybrid narrative using the provided building footage as the visual anchor, then matched curated stock footage and advanced AI generation to its tone and style.
AI allowed us to create the baobab’s global growth, the boy’s symbolic journey and the final moment where the actor steps from screen to stage as the Exxaro AI persona.
The result was a cohesive, cinematic film that exceeded expectations and proved that AI could achieve what the client thought required a full shoot.
